Spring Cleaning?

March 18, 2014
Are you in the process of spring cleaning? Have you thought about what to do with all of those clothes and toys your kids have outgrown?  Consider a trip to your local thrift shop or consignment store.  A thrift store is a great choice if you are just wanting to get rid of your gently used clothes or household items.  However, if you want to make a little cash on your items, you may want to check out a local consignment shop.  Many consignment shopw will take both clothes and household items.  A word of caution--Call ahead and check consignment policies before you haul your items to the store!  Every shop has a different policy on how many items they take at a time, whether they want childrens or adult clothing (or both) and the types of items they take at certain times of the year.  They will also have varying policies on payout for the items you consign.
Also, if you are looking for a frugal way to purchase clothing for those growing kids at your house, take a look at what your consignment stores have to offer. Many offer name brands, local vendors with one of a kind items and terrific accessories.
